Who is responsible

The data controller is Samuel Ronce, publisher of RPGJS, based in France. For any request about your data, use the contact page. No data protection officer is appointed.

This website

The website rpgjs.dev is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, it processes technical data such as your IP address and the pages you request, to deliver the site and keep it secure. The pages themselves do not collect personal data through forms.

Accounts and Studio

When you create an account for RPGJS Studio, sign-in is handled by an authentication provider (Clerk). Your projects, maps, media and settings are stored on Cloudflare infrastructure. We use this data to run the service for you.

AI generations

When you generate something with AI, your prompt and any reference you provide, such as a photo or a drawing, are processed by AI model providers to produce the result. The generated assets are stored in your project. These inputs are not sent to our analytics.

Optional analytics

If you accept analytics, we use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to measure how the website is used: pages viewed, scroll depth, sections seen, clicks on menus and buttons, whether you click to sign up, the campaign that brought you (for example a UTM tag), and an interest score computed from these signals. We use it to understand which features interest visitors and to improve the site.

Analytics start only after you accept. If you reject or ignore the choice, nothing is sent to PostHog, and the website works the same. When you accept, PostHog stores an identifier in your browser (cookie and local storage) to recognise you between pages.

Preferences

Your choice is stored in your browser for six months, then asked again. You can change it at any time with the Privacy preferences link in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops future collection from your browser. It does not erase data already collected, which you can ask us to delete.

Third-party content

Some pages embed videos from YouTube. When a video loads or plays, YouTube receives data such as your IP address, according to its own policy. Links to Discord, X, GitHub and other sites are governed by those sites’ policies.

Who receives data

To run the website and Studio, data is handled by: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Clerk (authentication), PostHog (analytics, only after consent), our payment provider (purchases), and AI model providers (generation). We do not sell your data.

Retention

We keep data only as long as it is needed to provide the service, meet legal duties, settle disputes and keep the service secure. You can delete your creations at any time. Backups are cleared on a later cycle.

Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and object to some processing. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time. To exercise a right, use the contact page. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority, in France the CNIL.
