Terms of Service

Last updated: October 31, 2026.

Service and publisher

RPGJS Studio is a cloud workspace to create 2D RPGs and MMORPGs: maps, characters, events, AI generation, playtesting and export. It is published by Samuel Ronce. You can reach us on the contact page. By using the service you accept these terms.

The RPGJS engine is a separate open-source project under the MIT license. These terms cover RPGJS Studio and this website, not the engine code.

Accounts

You sign in through a third-party authentication provider. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping your credentials and your Studio API keys private. If you think an account or a key has been exposed, revoke the key and contact us.

License, credits and payments

Studio is free to start. The lifetime license is a one-time payment that unlocks the included storage, AI credits, the Studio API key and future improvements. Optional subscriptions can refill AI credits. Prices and what each plan includes are shown on the pricing section at the time you buy.

AI credits are spent when the AI generates something for you. For example, a complete map costs 50 credits. Payments are handled by our payment provider, and we do not see your card details. If you think a charge is wrong, contact us and we will look into it.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you bring to Studio and of what you create with it. You may use the assets generated for you, including for commercial projects.

You are responsible for the material you upload, such as pictures used as a reference, and for checking that what you publish does not infringe the rights of others.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to create or share unlawful content, to harass or threaten others, to bypass usage limits, to attack or overload the service, or to share your credentials. We may refuse a request, remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules.

API key and AI agents

The Studio API key lets programs, including AI coding agents, act in your projects. Anything done with your key counts as done by you. You can revoke a key at any time.

MMORPG and your players

The MMORPG features are in beta. When you open your game to players, you run that game: you decide who can join, and you are responsible for the content and behavior in it and for telling your players how you handle their data. The AI chat moderation helps, but it does not replace your own responsibility as the owner of the game.

Sharing

Your projects are private by default. If you publish a map or a game, it becomes publicly reachable until you unpublish it.

Availability, changes and liability

The service is provided as available. It evolves, and features may change or be removed. We do our best to keep it running and your work safe, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, so keep your own exports. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the event. This does not remove rights that the law gives you as a consumer.

Ending your use

You can stop using the service at any time and delete your content. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service at risk.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always the one on this page, with its date at the top.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by French law, without removing the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. For any question, use the contact page. You can also read the privacy policy and the legal notice.
